For clients new to our studio, new to Pilates or need a refresher after time away, then start here!

New Client Equipment Pilates class introduces beginning Reformer, Tower and Mat exercises. You will experience Pilates in all planes and positions, on all equipment, demonstrating basic competency, incorporate transitions, learn the mechanics of the various equipment, learn how to problem solve for injuries & conditions, connect Pilates to activities of daily life, and have fun!

Additional equipment and props such as Chair, foam roller, magic circle and a small ball may be used.

We recommend that 6-8 classes be taken over a 4-week period in order to be given permission for Level 2 classes.

Equipment

Beginning to intermediate Reformer, Cadillac and Mat curriculum is learned in relation to the alignment, breath, concentration, control, precision, centering and flow principles. A moderately paced class emphasizing depth and understanding.

Equipment + Balance

Equipment + Balance focuses on strength, stretch, endurance and balance! Get all the benefits of reformer & tower classes* with the addition of balance exercises. Challenge your balance on the Foam Roller, with other small props and in many different body positions. Balance exercises help to train coordination, help us prevent falls and help us feel more confident in our everyday activities.

*Pilates chairs can also be utilized at several of our studio locations

Reformer + Jumpboard

Reformer + Jumpboard focuses on strength, stretch, endurance and a pinch of cardio! It combines a reformer class with a few beginning-level jumpboard blocks added. If you love the reformer, want cardio but don’t want a full jumpboard workout, then this class is for you! The jumpboard component allows for a fun, low gravity, moderate impact workout without stressing the joints.

Using Pilates equipment in Pilates class

Equipment

Equipment class is moderately paced, emphasizes depth and understanding of Reformer, Cadillac & Mat repertoire. The instructor will give you a challenge based on your level (2 or 3) and offer focus points to work deeper and with focus.

Bodhi

Bodhi means “to awaken.” The Bodhi 4-point Suspension System combines the precision and alignment of Pilates with intense balance and strength challenges. Students apply the Pilates principles on the Bodhi to achieve improvements in total body strength, core control, balance and posture.

Stretch & Release

Stretch & Release classes, whether on mat or equipment, will create more space and availability within the body and mind for new movement possibilities. Release stuck spots of tension in your fascia and apply self-care towards muscle pain and trigger points. Awaken your kinesthetic system and discover new strength, flexibility, and stability as you free stress and tension.

Reformer + Jumpboard

Reformer + Jumpboard focuses on strength, stretch, endurance and a pinch of cardio! It combines a reformer class with a few added jumpboard blocks throughout. If you love the reformer, want cardio but don’t want a full jumpboard workout, then this class is for you! The jumpboard component allows for a fun, low gravity, moderate impact workout without stressing the joints.

Cardio Fusion

Cardio Fusion class includes a warm-up, low impact cardio/dance, strength sequences, Mat Pilates and a stretching cool down. Cardio Fusion improves the cardiovascular system, muscular strength, endurance, and muscle balance.

Moderate Mat

Zoom Moderate Mat is for beginning to intermediate clients, ready for a challenge. This class will take you through a full-body workout. All you need is a mat!

Prerequisites: permission for Level 2 classes

Precautions: Health care provider permission to exercise. Free from acute injuries or unmanaged conditions. Those with spinal conditions should be cautious of loaded flexion exercises. Ask your instructor for assistance!

Multi-Level Mat & Props

Zoom Multi-level Mat & Props class uses the mat and small props for a whole-body, strength, stretch and balance-practice workout. Props add variety to standard Mat exercises, and they provide either challenge or assistance, depending on how they are used.

Bring any or all of these to class:
– Foam roller
– Hand weights or two cans of beans of the same weight
– Theraband or tights/leggings
– Magic circle or belt
– Small cushion or folded towel for head support
– Gliding discs or wash cloths/socks (for hardwood) or paper plates (for carpet)

Prerequisites: Level 2 permission

Precautions: Health care provider permission to exercise. Free from acute injuries or unmanaged conditions. Those with spinal conditions should be cautious of loaded flexion exercises. Ask your instructor for assistance!

Multi-Level Stretch & Release

Zoom Multi-level Stretch & Release class will lead you through stretches, myofascial releases, and self-massages utilizing the foam roller, tennis balls and Therabands.

Focusing on tight or stuck areas throughout the body, this class calms your nervous system and provides release, serenity, and mental re-balance.

Prerequisites: this is Open Level class for all to enjoy!

Precautions: Health care provider permission to exercise. Free from acute injuries or unmanaged conditions. Ask your instructor for assistance!

NOTE: Please have a mat and foam roller. A tennis/lacrosse ball, a belt, or a Theraband are optional props worth having in reach.

Multi-Level Buff Bones

Zoom Multi-level Buff Bones is a full-body, medically endorsed exercise program suitable for clients with osteoporosis & osteopenia. Suitable for clients with all kinds of spinal conditions!

Please have a mat, hand weights or two cans of food, and either a folded towel or a small cushion for the head.

Prerequisite: the ability to go from standing to the floor (and vice versa) without assistance.

Multi-Level Balance

Clients of all ages and experience can benefit from balance classes. As we age, balance-focused classes help us train our vestibular system and prevent falls. Balance classes also improve your ability to control and stabilize your body’s position and improves proprioception. This class combines traditional Pilates exercises with standing balance practice. Simple props such as foam rollers and thera-bands may also be utilized. A mat and room to move arms and legs without bumping into anything is required.

Prerequisites: Health care provider clearance after vertigo or other vestibular disturbances are diagnosed.

Intense Mat

Zoom Intense Mat is for intermediate to advanced clients, ready for a challenge. This class will take you through a full-body workout. All you need is a mat!

Prerequisites: permission for Level 3 (or Level 4)

Precautions: Health care provider permission to exercise. Free from acute injuries or unmanaged conditions. Those with spinal conditions should be cautious of loaded flexion exercises. Ask your instructor for assistance!

* Group Pilates classes must be canceled 12 hours in advance to avoid a late fee charge of $15. No shows will be charged a $30 fee.
