Wouldn't it be ideal to feel stronger after recovering from your injury than you did before it occurred?
Michele F. Benedisuk, PT., deeply believes it is essential to treat patients and clients holistically, with a one-on-one approach in order to achieve lasting progress and future injury prevention.
Pilates-based physical therapy helps you maximize your healing process and physical recovery by combining the principals of Pilates with physical medicine. Michele Benedisuk, M.A., our licensed physical therapist, employs a systemic approach to the healing process. This method is unique in that it addresses the functioning of the whole body, not simply the locus of injury. The systemic approach includes educating the client, specific therapeutic exercise instruction, manual therapy, and prevention. This holistic approach fosters the development of core strength, building a lasting foundation for future long-term health. When incorporating Pilates based training with treatment, the client's body tends to respond rapidly and results in more fluid, pain free movements while improving their overall biomechanical stability and health.
