Pilates is safe and beneficial during pregnancy when taught correctly, but we do ask that all expecting mothers consult with their doctors before beginning classes. Because Pilates is different from other forms of exercise, you’ll leave your sessions feeling energized rather than tired. Your instructor’s prenatal focus will guide you in strengthening the muscles used during child-birth, helping you become stronger and more flexible. These pre-birth preparations may also reduce the time needed to heal after your baby is born.
Because Vitality does not offer regularly scheduled Prenatal Classes, we advise expecting mothers to participate in a Private Lesson Series or a Custom Class series depending on their preference. These customized sessions are geared towards the needs, limitations, and the schedules of expecting moms.
