auto-mobile accident. She discovered her body was stronger, more flexible and healthier than before the accident.

Libby Scofield, Class/Private Instruction
Libby is a lifelong athlete starting in childhood with ballet and gymnastics, played soccer, rode horses, skied
and rowed through high school. Continued playing soccer on women’s and co-rec teams into her thirties. Became a gym
junkie after the birth of her second child and took cardio classes and weight training classes of all kind for
nearly a decade until continuing back trouble forced me to find some alternative method to keep my flexibility
and strength. Libby found pilates and took classes intermittently for several years, greatly diminishing her back
problems and gaining new flexibility in her body before deciding to take Teacher Training through Vitality. Libby
strives to make her classes Interactive and light-hearted. It is her goal that people leave her classes feeling
better than when they arrived.
Ann Kosugi, Class/Private Instruction
Anne started in Pilates around 2002 for ballet conditioning, and while she has since quit dance, still enjoys
Pilates as a way to stay strong, flexible and undo in-efficient body patterns as well as heal the negative effects
that dance can have on the body. In addition to dance and Pilates, Anne has experience with trapeze, and aerial
acrobatics. Anne is continually interested in the breath, its movements and effects on the body, and undoing
breath holding patterns that create tension and resist one from finding a sense of wholeness and well being.
Christine Fosmire, Class/Private Instruction
Christine has been running competitvely in the Colorado Mountain Race Circuit for six years, and it was a
running injury (ITBS) that brought her to her first pilates teacher, Karen Clippenser, a very well known
excercise physiologist who used Pilates to rehab dancers and athletes. After moving to Washington from California,
Christine was encouraged to teach pilates, and entered into Vitality's Teacher Training Program. In Christine's
own words: "Teaching pilates feels like a perfect fit for me. I love to share the power of pilates with others
and hope to provide a challenging and supportive environment for others to experience the amazing benefits
pilates provides."
