The Vitality Philosophy

Our instructors’ fine tune their teachings to accommodate each individual’s body, and physical needs.  Integrating the original principles of Joseph H. Pilates with current research and adaptive applications, we work to increase your muscle tone and flexibility through gradual modification and expansion of basic Pilates techniques. Vitality’s approach also includes a unique focus on calming the nervous system, which awakens deeper muscle layers in the body, creating a completely balanced system leading to increased muscle tone, range of motion and joint integrity.

At Vitality, we approach Pilates with an emphasis on correct form and technique. Our students practice the following techniques, building a foundation for their Pilates training:

Pilates is a comprehensive system of retraining your mind and your muscles to function more efficiently.  It is an effective approach to complete mind-body fitness and can aid in injury rehabilitation. When taught with precision, your body will come into proper alignment; strengthen your core and encouraging the graceful and balanced use of every muscle in the body. Through Pilates conditioning, you will quickly develop strong and flexible muscles, while maintaining a lean form. Pilates also improves posture, increases stamina and aids in the prevention of future injuries.
